Leadership: Lessons by Jesus

1.  Leaders take care of their people: Mark 11:31 "He went to her,m took her by the hand, and raised her up"
Ecclesiastes 4:10 "But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up."

2.  Leaders eat with the troops:  Mark 2:15  The Gospels reveal how often food and drink were the backdrop for so many of Jesus' most powerful and important lessons, e.g., the Last Supper.

3. Leaders tell stories:  Wise leaders will take note -- the most effective communicators have been great storytellers.  Why? Everyone loves a story, and they are like windows to the truth. Mark 3:23 Jesus summoned them and spoke to them in parables."

4. Leaders calm the storm:  Mark 4:40 "He said to them, 'Why are you fearful? Do you still have no faith!'" Just as Jesus calmed both the physical storm and the storms in the hearts of his followers, leadership today requires the same kind of effort.

5. Leaders give gratitude:  Mark 8:6 "Taking the seven loaves, He gave thanks, broke the loaves, and kept on giving them to his disciples."
